Does anyone have first hand experience with meopta scopes?
they came on pretty high regard from one of the suppliers.
I was looking for a 5-600 dollar Leupold and meopta was recommended as being better then the middle of the road Leupold, they still run around 550 but apparently the optics are much better and actually compare to Swaro and zeiss
as they (meopta) supply both with their glass??
anyway buying a new x-bolt tomorrow and looking for something to complement it but without breaking the bank
at the same time but if I can get high quality for mid quality price I'm all over it and Meopta has me wondering
Thanks Bag1

Never heard of Meopta before this, and I haven't heard of anything like them supplying Zeiss and Swaro their lenses.

They're made in the Czech Republic. I've also read that they supply the lenses for the Zeiss Conquest, but that doesn't mean that Meopta's scopes are equal to Zeiss,as Zeiss still uses their own coatings. I've never heard that they supply Swarovski though, and definitely not Zeiss' Victory line.

I thought Zeiss lenses were supplied by Schott AG and Jenaer Glaswerk.

Thanks Guys,
they didnt have the variable power I was after so I went with a Leupold VX-3 in 4.5-14 x 40mm,
and also picked up the new x-bolt medallion at the same time
hitting the range to site it all up this weekend sometime
pretty stoked about the whole set-up

Some models are Czech made, some are made on Long Island
