Does anyone here use Meopta Scopes? Specifically the Meostar R2. How would you compare these Scopes to other brands?

I have 2 scopes
One is around 15yrs old and still as good today as it was on day one
The other is 4 yrs old
Good scopes excellent glass
I would buy another

I have a couple meopta, a zd and a fixed , the zd is a beauty, glass is right there with my Schmidt Bender Zenith. My cousin bought a 3-12 r2 on my recommendation, it is a top tier scope.

Meopta also used to make photographic enlargers and the enlarging lens they branded that I am familiar with (a 75mm for 2 1/4" negs) was excellent.

I have a ZD 4-16x44 and the glass is amazing,(especially at dusk) as well as the quality of the optic. Meopta is just coming out with the Optika 6 range. around $1000 but it's supposed to be a great optic from what I've researched so far.

Hi,
I had Meostar R2 1.7-10x42. The glass were very clear and comparable to higher end scopes (I have Swarovski Z6, Leica ER, Zeiss Victory & Steiner Nighthunter Xtreme).

Now that been said, I sold it because:
Very thick dot on the reticle;
Very heavy scope.
