Meprolight M21

Does anyone have any experience with the Mepro M21 that Wolverine is selling? I like the idea of a rugged battery free reflex sight in the $500 range.

I had one on my first Tavor, I liked it WITH THE EXCEPTION that if you were in a shaded area shooting into a unshaded area, it was not bright enough! This would easily be fixed with a pressure switch & light directed into the optic, but no one that I know of has this accessory/setup???

Zahal offers a Wash-out-remover kit that eliminates the issue. I have one and it is a simple fix.

I went with the M21 for my Tavor in the end, I liked how it did not need batteries, and figured since they did such a good job on the rifle, they cannot be too far off with their choice of optic. I have been happy so far with my choice, and the washout remover seems to work well as I have not experienced any wash out issues, although admittedly I have not gotten it out as much as I would have liked since adding the M21 optic.
