I am interested to hear from those that have one installed on their rifles or those that have shot a rifle with one. I have ordered one in my new HS Precision stock and would like to understand how much of the 375 RUM recoil I can expect this to soak up?

Can only relate the use of one on a trap shotgun....it worked and also added weight to the butt...but I swear you could always feel the Mercury moving around!!

I had one in my #1 in .338. I wanted to lighten the gun the 3/4 of pound that it weighs. I never felt any difference on the bench before of after, it could be just me but it thumps just the same I think. I wounder if they need to be parallel to the barrel to have a better effect, mine was installed in the hole the attaches the butt stock to the action??

Would the recoil reducers work in inertia driven shotguns? Been wanting one. Just didn't know if it would alter the inertia. Thanks.

Dave.

Chilly, did you add to the RUM family? I read a post saying that they work great and all said and done won't cost that much.

So you lightened the gun 3/4 lbs, but with the same felt recoil? Sounds like it's working to me, otherwise the recoil would have increased
