Well, this may not be the forum to post this, but this is the one where I perhaps spend most of my time, outside the EE.

I am sooooo tired of all the...don't say " Merry xmas" and don't say this and don't say that, because not all people celebrate the holidays due to their beliefs or whatever. Even the current government has dismissed a recent complaint about the same topic.


You know what this is Canada, this is my home, and I celebrate the holidays and xmas, as does my family and my children and my ancestors.

You mean to tell me if I went to another country, where their celebrations were different than ours that they wouldn't be celebrating them just because I am canadian and they don't want to offend me. YEAH RIGHT!

On that NOTE: MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL !!

Merry Christmas everyone!

A little over a month ago, we remembered the many men who died for the right for each of us to be able to say Merry Christmas, or whatever each person wants to call it.

How soon Politicians forget!

I just hope nobody tells me to my face that I can't say it. I respect the fact that others have their own beliefs, but when mine are taken away without the same respect back, that's the time we need to rethink and/or remind people who won the wars that gave us our land and the freedoms fought for.
 
You two guys hit the nail on the head
half these people wouldnt be living in a country as fine as Canada and able to have freedom if it wasnt for us and our grandpappy fighting for it.
If they do things diffrent back home in whateverstan country then we do here and they dont like it they can go back
Do me a favor fellow nutters, when you go Christmas shopping and such say
" MERRY CHISTMAS " to everyone loud and proud.

Very well said.... I work for a company that no longer has a Christmas Party but a "seasonal event"......ba humbug....seems like we have lost the true meaning. It has been a part of Canadian culture & tradition for the longest time and it seems like we are all becoming a little complacement in allowing someone else to decide the fate and future of our culture.....thus the reason why we need to write letters for the causes we believe in especially GUN CONTROL!!!
