Mesa Tactical, designer and manufacturer of high-quality tactical accessories and equipment for law enforcement, military and civilian shooters, is excited to introduce three new Truckee forends for the Remington 870 shotgun in 7 ½” inch, 9” inch and 10 ½” inch lengths. Truckee forends are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and are equipped with M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom, providing versatile options for accessory attachment. Finally, there is a simple, reliable way to attach weapon lights and other accessories to pump-action shotguns.

Features

• Made from a combination of 6061-T6 aluminum and high-temp, glass-filled nylon endcaps to provide rugged durability.

• Equipped with industry-standard M-LOK slots, allowing you to attach your preferred M-LOK accessories.

• The Truckee forend complies with Federal Law 18 USC §922(r) as a single US-made part.

• Installation is quick and hassle-free, and the forend remains on the barrel when the weapon is stripped for cleaning.

It's low profile, M Lock, and durable. I might give it a try - most 870 forends are way too bulky, for example the Magpul and Ergo forends make the gun decidedly wider and the grip much thicker. It's like putting a side saddle on, just too much width. The 870 without tactifarkles is slim and sleek, by the time they've had a ton of crap added to them, they're like up armoured humvees.

The angle cuts at the front look amateurish, like a DIY’er bubba’d a Magpul. But at the end of the day, true beauty lies in good function, not superficial aesthetics, so if it works well then all is good.

Barehanded. It was the Silvercore bear defense course.
Kind of figured so, can’t see any issue barehanded with this setup. I had some doubts how well I could grip this with the materials some of my gloves are made from. After two kids couldn’t pull the metal broom handle from me I’m not so worried. For the same reasons as enefgee I think im going to give one a go.
