i've been doing hours of research on these two items for my new 870 Police, which will be here soon. i initially wanted the TacStar Side Saddle, but after reading all the negative things people had to say about it, i have changed(?) my mind. in almost every post on other sites, lots of people referred to the Mesa Tactical SureShell saddle as being the 'Mercedes' of side saddles... i read how many people 'shot' the TSSS loose by the simple recoil of the gun. and some people mention using Loctite to keep it in place? this seems like a joke to me. one shouldn't have to add anything to the tiny threads to prevent the thing from coming loose
so does anybody here have Mesa's product on their shotgun? and if so, ho do you like it?? i realize it's almost double the price, but when comparing it to a top of the line Police, it sholdn't matter. oh, and the whole saddle is made out of aluminum w/ some kind of rubberized? inserts to keep the shells in place.

yep I was referring to the Mesa. Tacstar works OK too. but yes the serial # cutout on the Mesa is great for those moments with the firearms Nazis or when you're trying to find out which reg certificate goes with which gun. The tiny screws on the Tacstar need a drop of loctite in my view if only because they'd be impossible to find if they drop off.
