Is anyone using the Urbino, specifically on a Rem 870? Have been thinking of picking one up to put on a 12.5” barrelled 870 clone and am looking for some real world feedback on it, the drop angle of the buttstock looks like it will get my face lower down inline with the receiver for a better sight picture. Currently the shotgun has a Mesa Tactical LEO stock on it which I like but I find getting a good sight picture can be tough on the ramped bead front sight, if you’ve got one how do you like it?

I like a pistol grip stock on a short barrel 12g and Mesa Tactical products are generally solid.

I don't care for the drop in the stock. I shoot head up and like a little extra height, but it's a little much on the 870. Seems to be less of an issue with the 1301.

I find I don’t have enough drop in my current stock when it’s got the 12.5” barrel as the ramped bead makes it hard to get low enough, when I have a 14” or longer barrel on it’s fine. I can extend the stock one position further and it’s better but then the front bead pretty much disappears, with a factory Rem buttstock or if the barrel has taller rifle sights or red dot it’s fine.

I used to run one. The buttpad attachment is weak AF. I didn't care for the way the pistol grip felt either. I'm a Magpul SGA guy for life now.

Watched a few more videos on it, was the rubber grip a sleeve and able to move around? The more I looked at it the less I was interested in it, I feel like the Mesa LEO setup I’m using is probably what I should stick with.

The whole back is a plate that hooks at the top and clips at the bottom. Super mickey mouse garbage imo. I don't recall it being notably wobbly. The stock did however crack at the bottom where the pad clicked in.

Not the recoil pad, I saw how ghetto that was already lol. I meant the rubber grip of the pistol grip, watched some video where the guy said it would come loose and slide down.

Oh ok. I never had any issues with the grip coming loose. I just didn't like the profile of how it fit in my hand. It was almost flat across the back if I recall correctly. I haven't had that stock in 7 or 8 years.
