Hey guys...

I was looking at this scope, which lists .5cm (.05 MilRad) clicks in the 2007 Tactical catalog, however two guys at Leupold tech support claim it is infact 1cm clicks  .

Anyone own this scope that might be able to tell me how many MilRad per turn? I was hoping it is in fact the 1cm clicks, with the standard 60 clicks (60cm / 6 MilRad / about 23 MOA per turn). About 2 turns to 1k would be nice :) .

Also, I heard a horror story about someone that sent an M1 to Leupold to convert and when it came back, the hash marks where Metric, but the clicks where still 1/4 MOA. I hope this isn't a goofy build being it's the only Metric M4

Thanks,
Guy

Now I'll admit I'm not the most sophisticated guy around, but while I can see how a scope might have adjustments in MOA's or in milliradiums, I don't see how the adjustment might be measured in cm's unless we are referring to come-ups at a specific range. If my math is close, .05 mils equals about .175 MOA, so it would take 5.7 clicks to equal 1 MOA, thus the adjustments roughly split the value between a quarter minute adjustment and one eighth minute adjustments.

1cm at 100m = 0.1 MilRad = about .39" at 100m. So slightly courser than a 1/4 moa click.

Most of the European scopes use the MilRad clicks. Usually in the 1/10 MilRad or otherwise known as 1cm (at 100m)

Boomer, I think we're saying the same thing, I was talking 1/10 Mil (I could easily be confused though). By the way, where is "Somewhere on the Hudson Bay Coast" I'm working in Northern Manitoba.

As per the Leupold Metric, I talked to another technician at Leupold today and he grabbed a scope from his stock and verified it is 0.5cm clicks at 100m, 60 clicks per turn. So slightly finer than the standard 1/4 MOA clicks on an M1 turret.
