i say be careful and try it let me know how it goes
ive heard of a few guys reloading rim-fire before more of rumors around the club they were reloading 22 mag to what i hear and the biggest problem was handling the chemicals cause what they use for primers in rim-fire would be quite unstable in a liquid stat that they worked it in to be able to paint it into the rims
if you use the proper safety mechanisms and maybe a shield instead of glasses give it a go if it works your a genius and might have a good chance at wining some matches but you could also just start ordering tons of ammo and trying that first im shure you have gone through lots but try some of the cheap stuff i shoot lots of rim-fire and a good glass job on a stock coupled with ammo it loves might get you those 1/4 inch groups you are looking for my bench gun is a Steven's a few polished parts and home made mods and it will hit staples at 50 yards its fun to make the paper fall off the boards after your finished shooting that one
