Well i got a wtb ad in EE, but i am curious, are there any stores that carry the mg34 topcover to allow installation of the doppeltrommel? Not for me, but i am doing some shopping around for a friend who is looking for one.

For any of you who are like "huh?" , here are some pictures (not mine) :D.

I don't know if these fit the TNW's, but that would be interesting if you could manage to find a drum also! I believe these saddle drums are not restricted by the magazine capacity of 5 (provided it is original and not a re-make).

To tell you the truth, i never even heard of the thing until my friend mentioned it. It is quite interesting anyways. Fully loaded, it must be as heavy as heck though...

Mike: I have 2 drums. I think MSG & IMA still have drums no adaptor. The problem is getting them legally out of the US. I think a couple of years ago that one of the US fourms had a group buy on repro adaptors, so adaptors are out there. Can't remeber if it was weeponeer of weponsguild. Oh yes the drums are completely legal.

Remakes are just fine, it is the design that must remain pre-1945 and unaltered.

That's even better news , thanks :D.

Markdev: The buyer interested is actually american, drums aren't an issue for him :). He also has one of those repro adapters i believe, but is quite keen on finding an original topcover for his 34. Thank you also for the information though! I wouldn't mind getting a tnw 34 and one of these drums, but it is a bit out of my budget right now ...
Apparently american sources have but dried up, so he has turned to canada.

Slight difference between the MG15 drum and the MG34 drum. The drums are not difficult to find, but the top cover is. There was a batch made for IMA in India and I defy anyone to get the drum operational on one of those. They are junk and not worth the money you will pay for one. A real 34 drum top cover is going to cost you at least $1000.00 US and the Na*i markings will be punched out. A small number have trickled out of Russia and are no bargain...
