Looking at the MI rail to add to a 180B. I'd like to know, however, how it attaches to the rifle. Also, for cleaning the gas system, does it easily disassemble or will I have to undo a bunch of screws or whatever to lift off the top rail for cleaning?

I like the look of the rail but if disassembly is significantly complicated, I'd be better off just installing a stormwerks under-rail for my bipod and foregrip.

Thx.

Oh, and PS, yes I read through ALL the AR180B FAQ pages - this is not discussed. Ease of cleaning the gas system is a consideration for me.

So then the guide rods are removed and it just lifts off without undoing any fasteners? Sounds great, apart from it not being free-floated. Oh well, can't have it all ;)

oh, and for anyone looking, Wolverine is putting together another MI order for these. I'm on the waiting list for one and they assure me they are still available - though how much longer MI will produce them I have no idea.

I like to think the sheer force and friction of the pistons in my guns are enough to grind a path through the filth and carbon.

Is the AR 180 non restricted... ????

I thought I saw it on the prohib list. Im looking to buy one if I have to it would be simpler to import from the US as a Non restricted. Besides the it would be nice to use the ar to blast the damn varmits around my place.

Any info... Thanks

I have to remove my gas block to clean my gas system. How do I deal with this? I clean it maybe once a year.

On your AR180B? If it has a stock gas system you are doing it wrong. The piston is 3 pieces, you pull back on the piston and you should be able to take it apart. It needs to come apart and be put back a certian way. If you do it wrong it will seem impossible. But, you do not need to remove the gas block.

Also yes the MI rail has 4 screws, and it is a bit more of a hastle to take apart and put back together.

Armedsask is using a different handguard than the MI.

Sorry, my bad. I was pretty confused why he would need to do this. That would suck, I am too lazy to take out the 4 allen bolts usually.

You are clearly new here so I'll let you pass this time. ;)

When it comes to the AR180B, I'm not the one you need to be giving advice to.

Yeah, boy did I feel like an idiot when I put two and two together. I have been admiring your beautiful lower for some time now.
