So i got my new DDM4v5 today and went to install the Miad grip. Tightened it down and the safety selector wouldn't move. Lossened the grip thinking the spring was pressing in too hard. Turns out the spring is bent at the end. I flip it around and again, gently guide it into the reciever. But this time the grip wont tighten down and theres incredible flopping around. I unscrew the grip again and notice that the other end of the spring is bent. I tried the stock screw in the Miad and that didnt help either. Put the stock grip back on and function checks just fine. Not wanting to strip out the reciever or completely wreck the spring, im thinking Im going to return the MIAD. Anybody else have a similar issue ?

I had a very similar issue with my v3 and MIAD as well. The width on the grip opening needed to file it open to jnset it onto the lower. Then even after I fully tighten the grip there was a big gap left behind the trigger guard. I compare it with the original a2 look like the MIAD was not at a right angle. End up replace it with a ergo grip with perfect fit.

I had a few troubles installing the MIAD on my Norc CQA too (not a DD I know, but still). There's a very small gap behind the trigger guard and it bent up my selector spring as well. I had to play with it quite a bit before everything worked properly. The Hogue grip I had before fit with no issues..

I found the MIAD to be a POS quality wise when it came to the dimensions. I could for the life of me get it to seat properly, even with a large rubber mallet and a mouthful of expletives. I traded it for a MOE+ and it fit perfectly and just felt better quality wise.
