Hi Gents,

I just wanted to make people aware of a shooting opportunity right across the border in Michigan. The match is going to be at Blue Water Sportsman's Association on 8/8/2105 (sorry, I know It's last minute, let me know ASAP if anyone is interested in signing up). 10 Stages | 100 Rounds | All day event | Max Distance 625yds --> http://www.bwsa.club

A Canadian shooter who frequents our matches let me know that some larger matches had been canceled in Canada this year, so this would be a good opportunity for you guys to get great trigger time. For more details check out this existing thread on snipers hide: http://www.scout.com/military/snipers-hide/forums/5526-local-matches/13662552-mi-bwsa-precision-rifle-championship-match-registration-open , or check us out on Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/BWSALR?ref=aymt_homepage_panel . (Facebook is probably the best way to get a hold of me).

Also, for those that can't make it to this match, I'll post up information about our monthly Mini-Matches in the future.

Welcome to the site!

I posted this in out long range competition forum:

I wish I would ha realized that you were extending the registration date, I would have bumped it up.

Right now the ATF is turning around Form6NIAs in about a week, so there is still time to get one if you want to go. This is an excellent opportunity for Southern Ontario shooters. The match is only 15 min. From the Sarnia/Port Huron crossing. Although this is not a PRS match, it will have many of the things that are common in US matches like barricade shooting and multiple distance engagements.

Match forms are in the link I posted above.

The best way to get the Form6 is with a hunting license. The Alaskan small game hunting license is cheap. Buy one, fill in the Form6NIA (can be obtained online) and fax them to the number in the instuctions that are at the end of the Form6. Don't forget to sign it. They will e-mail you the approved form. They turned mine around in a few days.

If you're reloading just list the headstamp on the brass you use under ammo. You don't have to put everything in the form itself, you can include attachments. I just put "see attached" on the form and list all of my rifles I might compete with in every caliber I have barrels for them in and list all of the brands of brass I may use for it in an Excel sheet that I attach. Some are wildcats that can be made from different parent cases, so I list them all. Never know what you may be able to get these days... The form6 is good for a year from its approval date.

Here is the type-in version of the Form6NIA. Fill it out and save it. As long as it doesn't change, you can re-use it again next year.

If you win anything that requires export paperwork, these guys can help:

They handle export, and to the person on the US side, they just look like any other FFL.

Was a great match! Snapped a few pics of guys going ahead of me doing some of the fun stuff (there was a lot more than just this).

BWSA will be posting more of the mini matches on here. These are great little matches and they are right at our doorstep. Highly recommend getting out and shooting a few of them.
