So, I've read some of the previous posts about this stuff. It seems like a beneficial product, but I'm still not sold. My big question is why, if it does what it's said to, isn't it the hottest thing going? It just doesn't seem to me like folks are all that hyped up on Gun Juice. I mean, we'll go to great lengths to increase precision and velocity. If a little bit of Gun Juice will help, why isn't everybody using it? Doesn't add up to me.

A friend of mine treated his rifle - a 270 A-Bolt- with this product at the advise of the retailer whose name may not be mentioned on this forum.......... ;)

Afterwards I worked up some new loads for him and to tell the truth there was a difference. I hit top velocities with a powder charge 2 full grains below what was required before the treatment. An attempt to increase the velocity by working up to the previously maximum load however started to show pressure signs so ultimate velocity remained nearly the same.

Accuracy in the rifle was neither better or worse.

One thing I did notice that the barrel was very easy to clean after the treatment.

Your mileage may vary .............

You should contact Rick Timmins at Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply. He distributes this product and has ample knowledge of its benefits.

To answer your question, why it isn't so popular, I don't know. It has been discussed and proven to work well on other websites. I bought some from Rick a while back but haven't been able to test it yet but hopefully soon.

Look at Sentry Solutions.

Smooth Kote and BP2000. Together a great combination. Not like Gun Juice which is like getting married, once its there its impossible to get rid of it.

The goods from Sentry last a long time but will eventually get shot out and need re-treatment. They are tried and proven products used by US Military to RCMP, as well as Rock Creek Barrels.

NOT snake oil, a well thought out product. Only thing that takes some getting use to is that there is no "oil" so to speak. Its a dry type lube. For tactical use where the firearm is exposed to elements where it will pick up grit its great because it, well being a dry type lube, does not attract the crap. For those of us who end up in the marine enviroment, its water resistant.

Check it out, the people there are great and very helpful.

These products were recommended by friends and co-workers with LOADS of experience, they do work as advertised.

Tried Gun Juice on one hunting rifle, not nearly as convinced as I am with the products from Sentry.

Good luck

I've tried the gun juice thing, didn't notice any big difference form the treated barrel to any of my other barrelss as far as easy cleaning goes, but all of thhem are well made pieces of equipment.
As far as accurrcay goes, the rifle didn't shoot any better or worse than I expected.
