I detest finger groove revolver grips, as they fit nobody perfectly and force everyone to adjust to them. These feel natural and make shooting a revolver much more fluid in draw and grip.
Its a preference thing, actually I prefer 1 finger groove wood stocks for a lot of the same reasons Jerry mentions on his grips behind the trigger guard. I know as soon as my hand curls around the grip, where everything is located as my hand is placed correctly because of the finger groove...its a natural point of reference for my hand. The "combat" 4 groove grips don't work for me due to the fact that the 3 risers want to separate my fingers and I simply don't hold anything like that, let alone a gun.
Aesthetically, the JM's kinda look like wooden dildo's to me, so on that point alone I wouldn't bite. I also prefer aggressive checkering so even his enhanced won't make the cut over regular Hogue stocks for me. Having said that, if the JM's could be cut with Hogue's semi-custom checkering, and they had a single finger groove offering I might be interested...so long as they cost the same as a regular Hogue stock set. (I hate paying for some guy's name)
