Hi folks,
Does anyone know of a source for parts for a Japanese-made SKB 500 over/under 12 gauge?

The part I'm after is a hammer for the upper barrel, the original broke. It might be weld-able, I'd rather simply replace it.

I have some other parts I got from Ron Sharpe in Dunnville several years ago, but I'm under the impression Ron has left the range.

I'll try Western Gun Parts, they were suggested by a member here.

Any other ideas for sources?

I have never had a lengthy inspection period buying from Numrich. They are a licensed exporter and parts come very quickly. Freight is expensive as hell though.

Trapper is talking about border service not Numrich they ship fast but customs holds things up for weeks at a time.

Not sure if he's still on this side of the grass; but Ron Sharpe (905-774-6368?) was a manager at the former Ithaca assembly and repair plant in Dunnville and he probably has/ had? the largest Ithaca and SKB parts inventory in North America. Again, I'm not sure if he's still in business, but he was an excellent guy to deal with back in the 90's.

Funny thing is I gotta look him up for a model 37 that decided to shoot it's firing pin out the barrel LOL!

Thanks guys.

I managed to get the broken hammer tig welded. Hopefully it'll hold up.

I found a thread on Ontario Outdoors from 2020 that said Ron was still with us, but was no longer selling SKB/Ithaca parts.

I bought some parts from him around 2015- 2016, but never thought I'd need a hammer. Great guy to chat with on the phone and good to deal with at that time.
