Not the best conditions today with wind and blowing snow but I had to try her. I just got my Rempel skipod yesterday and made my first batch of hand loads for this gun. This will be my short range load development. I have Berger and lapua 105 for long range work but need to work a load for them still. If I get the 105's to group as tight as the flat base 80's I will only use one load. I figured I would try the 80 grain load development first.

Gun has only seen 40 rounds of Lapua 105 factory before this testing. I will load some more in the 31.1 range to confirm. Pretty happy with the way its turning out though. This is also my first time using a skipod so I am not sure what works the best hold wise. It did keep the exact poi from my front rest so that's good.

Are you doing any type of load development (OCW, Ladder, etc..), or just going with the smallest 3rd group?

Reason I ask is LTV is my home range as well, and I need to run load development on a new 260rem barrel I had spun up. Was thinking of doing an OCW at the Frankford range, but then doing a ladder test at 400yd (somewhere else) to confirm the results (or vice-versa).

I feel like doing any load dev at 100 doesn't give the best representation due to minimal dispersion at such a short range, and that more error may be caused by shooter. Maybe someone can enlighten me?

In any case, we should get out and shoot sometime!
