Mike Rock?

I called Mike Rock directly and spoke to him for about an hour. He was very accomodating and seemed like the kind of guy you sit around the fire and shoot the #### with. I have heard nothing but good things about his barrels, especially in the tactical/sniper type rifles. I now have a Rock 22" 5r barrel with the heavy flutes on my 700. If I could shoot as half as good as the barrel, I would be happy. I don't do it any justice. It also cleans like a dream I looked at it through a borescope and compared it to a factory Remington Chrome Moly barrel on a LTR. The LTR barrel looked it had been cut with a hedgetrimmer compared to Mike's custom stainless barrel.

I've found the same from the Rock Creek barrels. I'm running one on my 338LM Ackley Improved and it's amazing how smooth the rifling are cut even incomparison to a Lilja. I've got one on order for my next custom Nesika actioned 308. The 5R barrels are worth every penny.

I've had 2 and one is still on my .308.I've got another coming for my 6XC.They are great barrels and I wouldn't use anything else.Unfortunately Mike is bad with emails. It's next to impossible to get through to him on there.Calling is better.Since there is not chamber cut they don't seem to be classed as weapons parts requiring an export liscence. That may have changed so I'd check into it before paying the money.
