Mildot Master

Very easy to figure out. I like mine.
The options for which insert to use I really enjoy (I use the meters for ranging/inches for adjustment scale the most).

Editted to add, at least one sniper I know from my last batallion spoke very highly of them (which is why I bought mine in the first place).

I've used my Mildot Master for a field shoot competition and it works extremely well. We really rocked !

I'm so happy with this system, since I cannot afford a lazer rangefinder (like Leica).

If you have a need for one, by all means , get one and get good with it. Neighbours might think you are odd for running around the block and tape measuring the mailbox, license plates, pillars, street signs, and all those commonly found objects.

Cheers,
Barney

The mildot master speeds up the process of determining distances and is very easy to learn. It's basically a slide rule. It comes with a well detailed user manual.

I use mine when I use my long range shooting simulator (Shooter ready). Target distances are determined using known target sizes, a mildot scope and the mildot Master. The mildot master is not necessary but I find it much faster than using a calculator. The simulator is not the same as beeing at the range but it makes for cheap practice.

I haven't used mine out in the field yet, but is seems like a good system.
The people at U.S. Tactical supply were very good to deal with and had no problems selling to a Canucklehead. I got a copy of their Sniper Data Book as well. Only problem is that they charge too much for shipping.

who's seen the new 511 watch that you can use in conjunction with this stuff? it gives you comeups and all sorts of #### apparently.

Mildot as in Mildot scope reticle where the reticle has a series of dots imposed on it that assist in ranging and windage.
The Mildot Master is a slide-rule type calculator that makes the process quicker and easier.
