I'm basing my thread on the assumption that IVI manufactures ammo for the Canadian Forces.

I was surprised to find a .38spl case at the range the other day marked IVI. Since when does the military use .38spl? Is there another IVI I'm not aware of?

CERDAN;
IVI did make .38spcl mil ammo many years ago for the US forces. Vietnam era.
Their civilan ammo also had the same headstamp.
As you know they bought up the CIL facility which was later moved and the name changed to IVI.

I've carried a Colt snub nose revolver and an S&W snub nose revolver when I was in the Army. Both 38 Sp.
