I was just wondering of any of you guys knew anthing about what gun this bayonet belongs to and if there is any value it. I also got these to pictures from the same guy. He didn't have any history to go with them so I thought I would ask here. The photo of the woman appears to have an original signature of some sort and the other picture appears to be french? Also if you guys have any ideas on how to research these pictures that would be great (its kind out of my relm) they may be worth something and they may be worthless:rolleyes: Where's a antique road show when you need one;)

thanks for the help

Looks like a P'07 bayonet for a SMLE. There should be markings on the blade just in front of the handle.
I do hope that the lighter coloured patches along the blade are just a lighting illusion, and not evidence of some Dremel work.

some one has sharpened it. It does look worse in the pics though.
Are they very collectable or a dime a dozen?

They seem to be up to around $80 unsharpened these days. Honestly, I wouldn't pay more than 30-40 for a sharpened one, they're not uncommon.

"...around $80..." Closer to $100 depending on condition. That one is an $80ish bayonet. Finish on the blade is gone.
The pictures would be almost impossible to put a value on. The right one looks like some kind of pamphlet or theatre program. Just a guess though.

I will try to take some better pics tomorow, thanks, It will probally end up in the EE once I research it a little more. It's not really my thing. thanks for the help
