I hope this is not a dumb question, but can some one tell me what a military classic bullet is? Wholesale sports has "GOVERNMENT SURPLUS UMC AMMUNITION CENTERFIRE RIFLE · 223 Remington
Description - 223 Remington • Style - MC • Grain - 55" for sale. I found out the MC stands for Military classic. But other than that I cant find any thing about the difference is if any. Thanks to all:50cal:

MC means Metal Clad which usually means the same thing as FMJ (Full metal jacket) and refers to the construction of the bullet, not the case. This is fine for plinking or target shooting but is not suitable for hunting because it doesn't expand like a hunting bullet should due to no exposed lead at the tip of the bullet.

Those cases should be fine for reloading altho you may have to remove a crimp around the primer pocket using your case neck deburring tool.
