Military contract pistol trials

I like to,read and would like to get a nice20 - 50 page discussion or article on the USA or uk or whatever current within 10 years pistol trials for light reading

with the silly Canuck trials stuff not sure why 6 guys and 3 girls cannot sit in a room for a week and pick a sidearm for the next 20 years,

so reading about how the other countries went about it would be neat stuff

thoughts where to find the google eyes has a couple of 3 page articles but nothing really interesting
