What are the local military history sites around Hamburg Germany and Danemark?
I've searched and have come up with little other then the battle for the city in WW2
 
It all depends how far you are willing to travel. For Germany I strongly recommend renting a good car. For best cars and rates try Sixt they are German and you will have no issues with driving restrictions and licensing permit. Audi A6 or BMW 6th series will cost you about $60-$70 per day but then you can do Autobahn as it should be used. Cheaper car something that will go to 170 km/h will set you back $35 with all insurance
 
Reeperbahn been there, always get a rental car in Germany. My knowledge is all from southern Germany, hence the question. Thanks so far keep the ideas coming.

Actually if you follow the Reeperbahn down (east) a few blocks you will come across one of the huge Flak towers built during the war.

It was closed when I was there, but I've since heard that the tower is now opened and contains a number of stores.
