Hi. Out of boredom I thought I’d post a few pics of some odds and ends I picked up as a group. Some I know and others I haven’t looked into yet. If you know what they are,feel free to let me know. I’m quite happy with this little group of items. Cheers

First Photo: 11 CMR : Canadian Mounted Rifles

Ninth Photo: RAF/RCAF Observer aircrew wings (single wing signified non pilot aircrew)

Great. Thanks for the info! Do you know where the 11th CMR hailed from? The Observer wing is 2nd WW I assume. The three little leaves is odd. The lapel pin says 200 overseas battalion Winnipeg, which is barely visible. Back of little three leaf pin. The bar, I believe is WW1 with Victory. The “Arras” is a souvenir of the battle and caves, apparently.

The three leaves on the pin indicate the number of sons the family has in the service. I also like the stickers for the Red Cross to place on parcels.

Thanks again for the information. I think the the three leaf pin brings the reality of war to a personal level. The Red Cross stickers are more like a piece of cloth, maybe linen or cotton. Cheers

The 11th is a sweetheart badge,battalion raised in Vancouver.The 200th is a sweetheart pin,the battalion was raised in Winnipeg.

Great!! This is why I collect stuff(probably too much)to look into” what is it”. It definitely helps with well informed members to ask.

With the regimental number on the back of the Vets badge you can find who the recipient was.
