These were used for direct fire sights on pretty much all the Brit/Cdn artillery right up to the 25 pounder, as well as the Bofors. Since most guys don't have the guns, the scopes are relatively common and not worth too much. The odd guy has tried to pedal them on ebay as sniper scopes with mixed success.

Yours is Canadian made by Research Enterprises Limited, a crown corporation set up for WW2 to manufacture optics for the Cdn and Commonwealth Forces. They are worth from $25 to $75. I think collectors source has one for sale on their website. There is also a neat little can which it stores in.

If you are after the gun to mount it on, Crown Surplus in Calgary has listed their Cdn Bofors at $15K, although it needs a fair bit of work due to weather deterioration.
