Which optic do you guys prefer for a Norinco CQ 556. I will mostly be shooting at either 50 or 100 meters targets. With the ocasional 200 meter thrown in for fun. Both optics are very similar. Both get good reviews and are close in the same price range. Im having a hard time deciding which one to buy. Any opinions greatly apreciated.

i was in the same situation as you
my decision is to go with the millett and a one day a vortex sparc or aimpoint micro on a 1 oclock rail

maybe a vortex sparc would suit you and it comes with a 2x doubler for the 200 yard shooting

Already have a vortex sparc on it which i like alot. Im looking for something with a bit more magnification then what the sparc offers. The sparc will be going on my sks.

I really like my Millet DMS 1-4, but haven't tried the other one... only complaints (if they even qualify as complaints) are that the illumination rheostat is quite stiff, and the magnification ring is a long, long turn from 1X to 4X!

For the price the AR332 comes mount ready, so the cost of buying a mount or rings for the DMS may be higher.

I have the AR332 and quite like it. The reticle is permanent in black. You can illuminate it to either green or red in various brightnesses, where the illuminated horse shoe acts just like the circle of the DMS. The difference from 3 to 4 power isn't really that much in total difference. While the illumination gives you that similar donut of death for fast aiming, you still get the aim off marks for distant targets out to five or six hundred should you have the need. I really like it, it is a very nice overall package without getting into the two-way firing range prices.
