Hey, everyone. I bought a Millet M14 mount some time ago as an impulse buy when I was purchasing other things from a dealer on-line and I lost complete control. I'm just not sure whether or not to keep it or trash it.....I've never installed it. I'd like a little more info before I decide to use it. Has anyone else purchased one of these mounts and how has it performed over time? Although it's aluminum and I'm aware of the limitations of the metal, it's a three point mount with set screws in all the right places and a see thru channel for irons. It seems solid but, of course, looks can be deceiving.

my brother bought one for his m14 shorty, but i haven't heard good or bad about it yet. we went shooting yesterday and he didn't complain about anything. sorry i didn't read this earlier, i could of asked him how he likes it. i can get back to you on that.

Mine was good for first 10 shots, got it sighted in, then all hell broke loose literally. The back has slipped. Used red loctite on rear mount, held so far for next 50 rounds.

Seen several other alum mounts of this style pop loose at the range so loctite properly torqued bolts.

OK for range, wouldn't trust it on rough hunt.

Not quite sure what you mean by "back has slipped"......does that mean the dove tail on the mount that slips into the recess left by removal of the stripper clip guide is moving left or right?

Courtsm3, if you don't mind, a review of the mount from your brother would be great.
