Millets Rings

Millet rings are good rings to stay away from. I had a set of them on a 12 gauge shotgun last spring and they came loose after about 6 shots. Needless to say they went back to place I bought from.

I used a set on my Sako 375 H&H for five or six years and they stayed right there, even with the finky little spacer under the rear ring.

Have a set on my Tikka 7MMRemMag for the past 2 years and they never moved even after a couple hundred rounds :) , but I prefer rings that have 2 screws on each side instead of 1.

Rings millet

For a hobby and a little change I instale scopes I lap all rings, and the poorest rings I have lapped is Millett they just are not made that well, but in saying that, they are light, and have had no come backs, but I can see why they won,t hold on larger cal. rifle. But you will have to lap them to work okay.
I have done most makes Talleys,Leupold, Weaver, and others the best quality I have found is the one piece Rings no base like the talleys, are the Hart 2oz rings by far the best.

I've won all my DCRA Gold medals at NSCC/CFSAC using the Millett Angle-Loc rings on my flat top Bushmaster AR. I have a pile of them in both 1" and 30mm diameters. I've got total confidence in them. I cannot badmouth them since I've got the high scores with them.

I've had them on top of my groundhog gitter Rem M700 .223. Life is good.

Cheers,
Barney

I've got millet rings on my Tikka 695 in 7mm mag, they've been on there for 10 years now, and have never given me a hint of a problem. As well I've got them on my TC Omega muzzle loader, I shoot 150 grain charges from it, and they have never come loose on there either.
