Milling a slide for a Glock mos cut?

I've never heard of any shop turning a Glock into a 'MOS' Glock - but many will mill a cutout specific to your red dot of choice.

I prefer the RMR's to anything else. Dual illuminated amber dot and green triangle with no batteries is what I run.

I know it can be done (a MOS cut) but I would go with an RMR cut instead. I think Vortex and RMRs share the same footprint. The MOS uses bolts that are only threaded into the plate with no many threads and then the plate has to be threaded into the slide. to me it just creates unsescary parts and less threading.

Not only that but it makes the RMR sit higher up on the slide then without a mounting plate between it, almost no co witness with standard height rear sights, and still not the greatest with suppressor height sight. I think a specific cut that doesn't use adapter plates is a much better option.

Unless you plan on mounting numerous different dots on the slide I would recommend getting it cut specifically for your optic. For that there is only one.....Black Box Customs in Calgary, their work is on par with the large guys that do a great job out of the US.
