Hi guys,

I'm trying to make an M4 stock adapter for SVD-S, got all the measurements from the SVD but I can't seem to find again the exact measurements for the Milspec buffer tube of AR-15 types rifles.
I realize this must have came up many times but does any one has the complete threading dimensions for the lower receiver dimensions ?

Thank you.

I thought they were the same regardless of mil spec or comm?

I don't know what the thread pitch is but it is the same on commercial and mil-spec buffer tubes. If it wasn't then the lower receivers would also have to have two different thread pitches but they are the same (with the exception for some early Norinco ARs which I think has some sort of metric thread pitch).

The thread is 1-13/16" - 16 UN. The Major Diameter of "Mil-spec" threads is approximately 1.185 and the Major Diameter of commercial threads is approximately 1.170". Both threads are identical, but the mil-spec has sharper peaks while the commercial version has flat, truncated peaks. The tubes themselves vary other dimensions.
