Milsurp collection

...Recently there was someone advertising to buy a quality milsurp collection. Does any one recall who was looking ? I am considering selling mine, but only as a complete lot . I am not interested in wasting time with tire kickers . Thank-you.

Here is a shortlist : OriginalTower Musket [bbl cut]found at Ft Henry, Ontario, 1886 Martini Henry. 1892 Enfield SHT .22 converted to 22 Hornet full wood, 1896 LSA co ltd Long Lee -Boer war vet, 1895 Mauser Boer war capture, 1905 Commercial Ross that won the Kings crown at Bisley 1909 or 10 with photos of winner etc, [1926 ?]#1 mk 3 BSA co. Regulated by Fulton with PH 5HA sights , #1 Mk IV sht.22 FTR 1954, #1 RF1 1945 unissued, #1 1943 RFI markd BSA co with PH 5HA sights and what appears to be a stainless barrel, 1943 #4 mk 1*Long Branch possibly unissued, 1943 #4 Fazakerly unissued, 1950 C #4 mk1* Greek Long Branch, 1944 #4 mk 1* Long Branch Veteran, 1947 #5 Jungle carbine, and a Cooey mod 82 .22 trainer marked RCAF. The crown jewel is a Colt 1911 Canadian contract with colt letter, all original in very collectible condition with 2 original magazines, mag pouch and belt as well as the original issue holster . Plus many bayonets , slings etc, some of the rifles have matching numbered magazines . I am not splitting up at this time .

Honestly the chances of you finding some one will to drop a several thousand on your collection is basically zero. Unless you sell it at a price that it could be resold for profit and even then.

Put things up on the EE at a reasonable price and the majority of stuff will sell fast. The most important part is reasonable price.

I might be mistaken, but I think you would have to get damn lucky to find that one person willing to spend big bucks on buying your own large collection. Everyone has their own particular interests. Heck for me half the fun has been slowly assembling my collection one gun at a time.

Maybe there is an auction house willing to put your collection up for sale, or a particular dealer will take it off your hands.

These are not being fire sailed or sent to auction , i am seeking some one who is interested in a very excellent collection to start with . The offer is for serious buyers . I am not slitting up at this time.
