Howdy CGN !!
Heard the Winnipeg Canadian Tire on Leila was carrying milsurp guns & ammo... and it sure does !!
I was there on Sunday and they had, on display, an M44 for around $400, a regular 91/30 for $176, a sniper 91/30 with a repro scope for around $600 and an SVT-40 for $299.
They also have milsurp Czech 7.62x54r ammo at $129 (or was it $139) for a box of 400.
There was also some old German, Swiss and US milsurps, as well as a Norinco M14 for $550.
I handled both the regular 91/30 and the SVT-40. The 91/30 was a '42 round receiver Izzy with a good post-war stock. I forgot to check where the SVT-40 came from but the stock was not AVT and real nice, despite a weird stock repair Under where the shelles eject.
I'm definitely going back for a better look and my older brother is coming with... I think I finally convinced him to join the "milsurp dark side". LOL
