I wonder if you folks have any strong feelings pro or con about have a sub-section in the EE specifically for Milsurp handguns? I have a fondness for all firearms with military history and I am all for anything that will make it easier to find what I like.

Why can't we just list milsurp pistols in the milsurp section where they belong? Apparently it is allowed for trench shotguns. Just remove the "rifles Etc." from the description and problem is solved. If you think your 1911 will sell better in the pistols section, go that way. If we can't get that, let's have a "Milsurp Pistols." section.

I like this idea - milsurp section for all milsurps.

X2.

If it has military markings on it, it goes in the milsurp section. Like regular knives vs bayonets.

Me three:D!!

I actually like the setup as is, because the distinction between military and civilian pistols isn't as sharp as it is with rifles, and I suspect you'll get alot of military pistols being listed with the others anyways.

That said, if we are going to make changes, I think milsurp pistols should just go in the existing milsurp section.

i agree with sub section, but you have to respect the section, to many mix already. or posted in more then one section.

+1 on this, but that is generally what happens already for many milsurp pistol posts. If it wasn't the policy, then just formalize it and carry on as we have been.

I hate to say it, but there are far too many subsections now. You have to spend too much time trying to find things already...JMHO.

Problem I face is trying, with the current set-up, to find queries etc. on Enfields, Lugers, P-38s and such...... and facing an endless line-up of race guns, tacti-kool crap and things called norcs or made out of plastic.

Sometimes I wonder what my minty 1916 DWM would look like with a flash-hider, bayonet, muzzle-brake, laser sight, medium-power scope, bipod, tactical forward pistol grip, 90-round mag pinned to 10 rounds and a GPS duct-taped to the triggerguard.

That`s when I KNOW there has to be a better way!
