It'll be tough to find one. Dealers have been reporting for a bit now that supply was drying up on K31's. Good luck! Even boxes of GP11 is starting to dry up. A couple years ago, there was boxes at all my LGS. None now. Just low batches of Privi and such.

Biggest difference between K31 and the K11 would be in the bolt arrangement. The k11 had a long bolt sleeve, the k 31 did away with the long sleeve. they are the same length, but since the k31 has the shorter bolt, it has a longer barrel.

Ya, let me know. I'm no expert by any means, so I probably can't guarantee a great result, but i wouldn't let him get anything obviously f-ed up. Honestly, worst case scenario, I get an emt for my cost, best case, I get another k31. It's a no lose situation.
