I plan on heavily reinforcing a room when I get a new place, vault door etc. and I would like to display my milsurps in a professional way, similar to a museum. For CGNers who have displays set up in their mancaves, how did you go about doing it? I hate the look of pegboard but the slat wall panels look pretty sharp. I was thinking maybe a dark brown wainscotting and grey slat board on the wall above it with some nicely done lighting to shine down on the firearms. I can find plenty of examples of modern day rifles and pistols hung up but I want to display all of my rigs that I have, pistol, holster, and spare mag. Does anyone have any ideas or pics of what they've done for display?
I remember a thread years ago and someone had posted their gun room and it was pretty slick, cant find it anymore though but it gave me inspiration. There was a 1919 and '34 on the ground if I remember correctly.
I also think it would be pretty cool to have one corner of the room built up like a MG nest with sandbags, and some mannequins dressed up for the part
