Okay, as the resident war movie geek, I've got another oddball one for you:

French, German, and British military weapons from World War I and lots of them. Never seen so many Gew 98's still intact! Lots of French rifles and Enfields too.

It's a great movie too... about the 1914 "Christmas Truce"

The movie is in French, German, and English all at the same time with English or French subtitles.

I found this movie at Blockbuster. I am eagerly awaiting Passchendale too!

Absolutely SUPERB film!

Same thing happened in Canadian sector the following year, even though banned. My grandfather was in it: 54 B'n "Kootenay Regiment"
Saidd it was the wierdest thing: trade smokes with a guy, see his family, show him yours and then try to kill him.

I enjoyed it. A trifle melodramatic, for my taste, but the Woman got pretty irritated with my running commentary about the rifles. So that alone made it worth it.
