milsurp revolver

Well, for a milsurp revolver with a Canadian connection, go for a Smith and Wesson "Victory" model. It will be in .38 S&W, so ammo will not be the easiest to find, but not impossible. Victory revolvers were used by British forces as well, and by the U.S. (in .38 Special), so check for Canadian, C-broad arrow, markings. Expect to pay between $300 and $400.

Here's mine.

a P1 would be right up my alley but that victory model revolver is really cool too, where could I get those? I emailed marstar about p1's without success

There's no one with crates of Victory revolvers in stock, unfortunately. They come up from time to time on the EE, but otherwise you'll have to haunt the dealer sites and gun shows.

There are variations in the Victory models, besides whether it was Canadian-issued or otherwise. Barrel length, type of grips, type of finish all changed through the war. There are some good sources online, including the Smith and Wesson forum, for the information to help you figure out which one you want/which one you're looking at.

Good luck in the search.

true - but at least it's easy on brass once you've got some. I'm pretty lucky, we have a gun store locally that has ammo for virtually anything, just sitting on the shelf waiting.

You sir are a lucky bastard :D I have one 50 rnd box that i found two years ago, and i'm still snooping for a supply of bullets. I just end up not shooting it :(
