I know I am not really in the right section here, but since it looks like a Milsurp rifle, I would like to ask the Milsurp lovers who are Not visiting the Shotgun section, What do you think of that :

Yes ! I have made a complete makover to a brand new Boito Hicker (backpacker) 410 shotgun by making the full set of real walnut stock, installing military sights, barrel bands, and a olive drab green Gun Kote finish on the receiver and barrel, and flat black for the rest of the parts. Have spent a lot of $ and time on it, but the result is terrific. Now I might put it up for sale to attack another chalenge.

Have tried a few shots today for the first time and it shoots well, there is a small recoil, but nothing to bad for a short barrel. its kinda fun to shoot !

The bands look M39. What's the rear sight off?

Correct ! The bands are off a M39 I have removed the sling attachments from the rear one and the bayonet lug from the front one.

The rear sight is a modified too and originaly off a Krag 1892. Front sight and butt plate off a Mauser.

BBman that is very impressive, i am always intrigued by great craftsmanship on making non military guns look military, you should be proud, i know i would.

What are your groups at 1900 meters with a .410 slug? :p

Kidding aside, that is a sweet looking shotgun, I'm sure it will sell fast. :)

my favorite part, thats a sweet muzzle, love the m39 bands mixed with the mauser sight.

the rear sight is an odd choice for a .410 though...
