Hello folks..... :)

The MILSURPS.COM Knowledge Libraryhttp://www.milsurps.com is pleased to participate as a Contributing Dealer, directly supporting CGN and its membership.

As we introduce new products and services, we will make appropriate announcements here.

One of our first is to introduce The Screening Room. It is a new forum, specifically designed for videos or music relating to historical milsurps and equipment. Besides lots of period WW1 and WWII videos and music, you'll find contemporary video such as these two examples:

======================================================

1941 Russian 14.5 mm PTRD Anti-tank Rifle (Range Video) ... click herehttp://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=851

This is some fun range video of MILSURPS.COM member Scott at the Milcun training facility, zeroing his Russian 1941 Russian 14.5 mm PTRD anti-tank rifle, then engaging targets at 100 and 400 meters.

(Click PIC to Enlarge)

======================================================

WWII Milsurp Sniper Rifles at 400 Meters (Range Video) ... click here http://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=839

This is also some fun video, which shows MILSURPS.COM members ~Angel~, Scott and Badger, shooting various sniper rifles from their personal collections.

Engaging 12" Steel Plates and 4 Foot Targets at 400 Meters.

1945 British Enfield No.4(T) .303
1942 Russian 91/30 Mosin-Nagant 7.62x54r
1908 Swedish m/41b 6.5mm

Turn up the volume so you can hear the sound of those plates dropping !!! Notice the sound delay between the time you see the plate fall, until you hear the metal PING sound return back up range to the shooter's position.

======================================================

We've got a LOT more of these kind of range videos, including The Great Canadian Tennis Ball Challenge shoot-off match, using WW1 Enfield Wire Wrapped Grenade Rifles and Dischargers (click here)http://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=105. :D

As we edit and organize this material, we'll get more of them posted in The Screening Room (click here) http://www.milsurps.com/forumdisplay.php?f=46.

Our resource center is entirely free and frequented by milsurp collectors from all over the world. We hope anyone seriously interested the genre of old military rifles, will find the MILSURPS.COM Knowledge Libraryhttp://www.milsurps.com a valuable contribution to their hobby.

Enjoy!!

Regards,
Badger

I'm confused what as a dealer are you selling ?? [/IMG]

Dimitri

I guess you could say the product (or service) is "knowledge".

Knowledge of old milsurps shared by a world wide collector community, all provided for free to anyone who wants to ask questions about the pieces they own, or are contemplating buying. Combined with milsurp reviews, range demonstrations and video trials, plus articles by highly respected collectors, we hope the service provides a highly focused and unique approach to milsurp collecting in general, of course with a Canadian slant.

The only cost would be to anyone who chooses voluntarily to contribute to help maintain and grow the knowledge library, which is a unique consolidated milsurps resource, unlike anything offered anywhere else on the net. It's an environment created by serious collectors, maintained by collectors for collectors.

We are currently working with a few prospective sponsers, whose product lines fit the specialty milsurp needs of our members, plus there will be several high end estate collector's pieces, offered exclusively for sale over the next several months. ;)

Hope that helps... :)

Regards,
Badger

Amazing videos in there, keep up the good work. I like the old British vids, as well as the WW1 footage.

Shuts down the milsurp info section on CGN, then forms another site, then comes back with a sales pitch...Ok I get it now, carry on.

LOL--- if you think MSC makes money, think again. We are WAY in the hole. We do it for fun and recoup what little costs we can. Most of it ($) is just plain lost. But as I said, we like doing it, so...

As a fellow PTRD owner, I want to know...

WHERE DO YOU GET AMMO?

Scott says he got it through Big Sky Surplus (click here)http://www.bigskysurplus.com/main.htm while at the Knob Creek gun show in Kentucky.

I think you can make your own ammo. The cases are blown out .50 BMG cases and the projectiles are solids that any machinist with a CNC screw machine could make you.

Hope this helps ... :)

Badger
