Does anyone know the firearms discharge by-laws within the Town of Milton?
I've seen quite a few of coyotes between Hwy 25 and Trafalgar Rd; from Derry Rd down to the 407 - in farm fields.
Before I go knocking on doors - anyone hunted in this area? I'm trying to cover my @$$ BEFORE I go out - and want to do the right thing. Cell phones will most certainly out-number coyotes in this area...so, this close to the GTA a call to the police is guaranteed. I love it when I get to meet another officer due to a Liberal drive-by calling..
The Clerk's office at the Town of Milton office was useless. Even the Halton police couldn't tell me - and they would be the first to hear from the aforementioned cell phone callers. I even tried the MNR - they deferred back to the region.
The Town Clerk thought there wasn't a season for coyotes or didn't think I should be shooting them (= anti). Needless to say, she wasn't very forthcoming with information. I didn't even bother to tell her there is NO season on them and coyotes are open all year with no limit!
If anyone has some local knowledge - it would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance - SD
