A lot of load data doesn't display Min. OAL. One of my books does and says 1.09 for 124gr 9mm plated using my powder. The question I have is my reloader for some reason shot out quite a few rounds (before I bothered rechecking the OAL) at an OAL of 1.03! Will my gun explode on me? LOL I don't plan on shooting them but what a shame. I am not anywhere near the max load for these rounds. Can anyone direct me to some good reading on min OAL and the effects of different bullets, powders, etc.?

I don't think your pistol will grenade on you if you keep loads within reason. Using Aim Projectiles I have to load a very short c.o.l. for two of my pistols (1.059 and 1.09 just to fit) I just don't stray too far from the bottom loads.

I'm new to 9mm reloading but the experienced guys at the gunshop told me that if I had any doubt about a round to use a bullet puller and redo it. I think that is pretty sound advice for someone starting out.

I pulled 25 last night bucause I had a concern about my digital scale and reloaded them tonight with a manual scale I picked up. Once you get going with the puller it goes quickly. I salvaged everything and redid them. I look at it as more experience and a safer round to shoot.
