Mini 14 185 series?

The major difference is the barrel thickness. "Bigger is Better"...
The 18x series has the thinner barrel which is subject to greater harmonics & heat distortion which affects accuracy. The newer, tapered barrels are much more stable and as a result, much more accurate. Older Mini-14's shoot around 4-6 MOA. The newer 580-581 models shoot 2-3 MOA. YMMV
