Has anyone seen a stainless/synthetic mini in stock for less than $1000 lately? Seems like the price really took a jump this past year or two. Upwards of $1200... I bought two from Frontier for $650 each a few years back but sold them in a moment of weakness.

I saw the wood/blued version on sale for $1,100 somewhere a month or two ago ..... I think it was Cabellas. The other thing I've noticed was that a couple years ago, many retailers sold the stainless version and the wood/blued version for the same price, but now I see that the stainless version always goes for about $200 more now. I remember seeing both versions for about $800 about three or four years ago.

Do u guys install bolt buffers in your mini 14's? I had an old mini and sold it fast. 5"+ groups. I ordered a boot buffer and never used it. Now I'm thinking of a new mini 14 or a Benelli mr1. The benellie definitely feels and looks higher end and quality made compared to the mini. Any advise?

I ended up just paying $1200 for one. Obviously the price is pretty much standard now. At least the gun is solid enough to be worth it. Now to find some reasonably priced 20/30 round Ruger mags...

with the canadian dollar tanking over the last couple of years, everything has gone up 25% or so. ouch.....

It looks like the price has increased from Ruger itself as well. American MSRP is only $100 less than what I paid. They typically list it high but still. Either way I am happy to be a Mini owner again.
