Im looking for a good coyote gun somethin that is atleast somehwhat accurate and in a decent budget, ive come across this in my many visits to this site, stay away or would it work out?

Don't hunt, but I'd say it's perfect for the task for small game, inside of 200.
As others have said, it's not a .2 MOA rifle and was never designed to be one.

It is reliable, light, fairly reasonable $ wise to shoot, has almost 0 recoil and is more than accurate enough to get the task done.

It also has a little character ;)

The Mini-14 rifle is fine for coyotes.

A good idea might be to practice shooting at a 6" gong, until you can hit it consistently at 100 yards.
Offhand, standing on your hind legs.:)

You will then be the other half, of a 'yote slayin' duo.
No cheatin' Eh!

Shoots MOA or better

It's a Remington 7615 .223 pump action rifle.

Very simple to use.

It's based off the 870 20 guage/Remington 7600 series of rifles.

This model has a 16.5" barrel, and takes AR style mags.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but it is a nice rifle and can be found for under $900 depending on sights, butt stock, etc.

Cummins4x4 I like most of your choices, but not that one! :D

A better coyote rifle scarcely exists than a new model, 580+ series mini. Mine has blown my expectations away, crazy accurate and handy. Many of the greater Mini accuracy naysayers opinions actually stem from a lack of ability with iron sights. Many shooters today are glass shooters, scope dependent, and half the Mini's bad rap comes from being equipped with a good set of iron sights and most shooters trying it that way first.

Ardent, would be interesting to see which shoots better. My experience with mini's is limited to more than 20 years ago.

Looking at getting one myself but have only tracked down the stainless synthethic one and I was looking to get a wood stocked one. Is there any accuracy differences between the two ?

To the original OP, this threads topic is also on the Mini 14.

Pretty sure coyotes were what ruger had in mind when they designed the Ranch Rifle. Their description of it has it being somthing for shooting varmints around on your ranch. Considering a good number of people use 22lr's for coyotes i think a 223 will be just perfect.

I have been trying to decide between a current series Mini 14 or a Mini 30...I currently have a case of each ammunition in stock. I've decided to go Mini 14. I'll be using it for some winter coyote hunting this year.

I use mine all the time as an under 200 yarder. it is a great truck gun and has never failed me yet.

My goto for coyotes is a savage predator in .243, but it is a heavy rifle. It does however mail them little pills to Mr. Wile.E very accurately to 350 and 400 yards, which is a tad longer than my mini can deliver to.

In bush to 200 yards, nothing beats my mini and the fast second shot it provides.
