mini 14 tactical question

Its just a Mini in an ATI stock basically man. If you cant find one it would be super easy to build. Keep in mind though, it is not the most comfortable stock imo(especially the grip). It is the "lame one" imo as you put it.

I get that I can modify anything. Im just specifically asking how you can get the factory tacticool one they advertise on their own site.

Im just warning you, that stock sucks imo. I had a similar one(for a 10-22)for a very brief amount of time and I hated it. The grip is super uncomfortable(as are most with fixed finger notches) and it is not very well designed. I would look for a different stock for the mini or go with a real assault rifle/black rifle instead of a dressed up(Tactifool) farm gun.

I agree! I've got a scoped, blue Ranch Rifle with Choate flash hider and Accu-Strut stabilizer. Look like a 3/4 size Norc 305. It shoots well, actually beyond expectations, even with Chinese ammo, but with the 5 rd mag limit, it sucks as a 'tacticool'. My pinned 20/5 mags won't seat on a closed bolt, precluding a loaded chamber. Shot one 3-Gun with it and bought an AR 15 ....

But - it is a rifle I can take anywhere in the boonies whereas the AR stays home.

The ati stock is inexpensive I paid $120 for mine on boxing day.Takes about 30 second s to remove the action and barrel from a mini.Goes back together just about as fast. Definitely looks and feels better than the factory wood. It's no XCR-L but it's also about a third the price.

99% sure the tactical model on the website is restricted in Canada, due to its shorter barrel. Most guys I know have a ranch model (non-restricted) and put an after-market ATI tactical stock on, or a Butler Creek folder. I love the way the Mini-14 shoots and like Sharps '63 said I really like the fact that it's non-restricted, which in my mind is a plus over the black rifle option.

I too like the Accustrut as it does improve accuracy somewhat still on the heavy barreled Mini 14's and the M14 look it creates is really appealing too.
