mini 14 tapco stock

Anyone have experience with the tapco stocks for the mini 14? good bad ?

stock fits nice, you need to use the metal insert from your wooden stock. If you have a factory composit stock then you need to order the insert from brownells. I dont like mine and put it back into the factory composit stock.

I found that they felt like a 2x4 for ergonomics. I had one and promptly sold it. Quality seemed good, but I think they failed on feel. I also tried the ATI stock and the pistol grip area was all out of whack for ergos too. I still think that the factory stock is the bomb and for aftermarket stocks, the Butler Creek still rules.

i didnt like the feel of the tapco, felt cheep. the rifle seams to shoot better in the factory stock.
