Mini 14 Target bipod mount

What's my options for mounting a bipod to a mini 14 target with the factory thumb hole stock? I've heard the wood is too thin to put a swivel stud into and the Harris mount won't fit the target model. Any ideas?

Harris bipod mount HB14 should do the trick. Not sure where to get one though.
SORRY just read it doesn't work with the target model
