Mini-14 Target Rifle

A buddy bought one a few weeks ago and we have gotten consistent sub-MOA groups with Winchester ammo, the 50-round "varmint packs". Much less accurate with other loads tried, but he's only experimented with a few different ones.

I thought I wanted one before I handled his, but I find it is one of least comfortable rifles I have ever handled. I agree that the overmolded version should be sweet.

However, I just picked up an AR-180B and now have to concentrate on getting it to match his best accuracy levels...either that or kick myself forever for not going with the Ruger.

I recently aquired the laminate version. Is definately accurate. I had several different loads from my various .223s. 20 shots went into 2 " @ 100yds. With a 60 gr handload using varget I can get 5/8 " groups 5 shots @ 100 yds and I have not played with the balancer yet. I also have not adjusted the load at all. Seems to have a consistent zero with various loads which certainly surprised me. I will try to get a one holer load built for this one. It is a bit hard on brass but that is to be expected on a semi. If you want one buy one and I am sure you won't be dissapointed.

Mine maybe for sale soon.....Xmas shopping and alll.......damn it!!! PM me if interested. I'll probably want too much but the wife will be happy if I list it.
